Am looking for relatives of Wm. L. Jacobs from Wilmington who married Henrietta Rhodes Pope (nee FOY)of Onslow County (or maybe Edgecombe County) in April 1856. They had a son, Charles Deems Jacobs. Am particularly interested in M. B. Jacobs who wrote the Foy Book mentioned in the Oslow County Bibles section of this Genweb. Don't know if MB is male or female, or what relation she is to the other Jacobs's. Thanx for any info you can give me.

I saw Jerry Lee's query of 30 Sep 2000 about Edward Callaway, who is documented by the Callaway Family Association. Edward's brother, John, married Keziah Wilder in Onslow Co., NC and died same county in 1763. Both Edward & John are brothers of my ancestor, Ebenezer, so I am interested in any information Jerry has on Edward and/or John. Sallie Lou Morris

a#HENDERSONHENDERSON posted by Tonya Harrison on Saturday, March 16, 2002

I am doing research on the family name for my grandmother. We have traced our family back to the Henderson's of Onslow County and would like to find information about the location of their old plantations there and any other historical locations of the Hendersons. We have heard of there being plantations owned by James Isaac HENDERSON, Sr. - b. about 1670 believed to be from Scottland, d. about 1737 in Onslow CountyWas called "Scottish James" in a couple of land records.Family stories say they came in through the Port of Wilmington shortly after it opened in 1720. (info per Linda Allred Cooper). And his son of same name. Have heard that the area may have been the site where Camp Lejeune is now. If anyone has any information of any historic markers or places of interest that can be visited, please let me know. My email is Tonya_Harrison@yahoo.com. Thank you!!
