Looking for family of Charley Pierce JOHNSON, born July 1876, in North Carolina, possibly Onslow County. Both of Charley's parents were born in NC. They may be related to the Johnson families who settled in Appling Co. Ga. Many of the same names are found in this group. In 1900 Charley was found in Bradford Co., Florida where he married Annie Estelle Moseley. Any leads or help will be appreciated. Charley, my g-grandfather is my brick wall.

Alexander HENDERSON is listed in court papers as being son of Thomas Henderson, Sr. who died in 1815 in Onslow Co. Onslow co census data shows that in 1820, Alexander Henderson had the following people living in his household -- 2 males under 10, one male 26-45 (I assume this is Alexander Henderson himself), one female under 10, one female 16-26, and one female 26-45 (which I assume to be Alexander Henderson's wife), with 12 slaves. The census info indicates that Alexander was born between 1775 and 1795 and other info in the court records seems to indicate that he was born in Onslow co. Any info on the names of Alexander Henderson's children or his wife? Thanks, Bruce Henderson

I'm seeking information on either of these family names in the Pender, New Hanover, Onslow county area. Specifically I'm looking for information on Finn GURGANIOUS, married to Sally ?, then upon her death to Dincy MALPASS. Finn and Sally's daughter, Mildred, b. 5 April 1915 is my husband's grandmother. On the ROCHELLE side, I'm looking for Sebastien ROCHELLE, no wife's name, father of Robert Rochelle, born probably about the time frame as Mildred (they were husband and wife). Any additional information on the families would be appreciated.

Researching both Edward and Simeon Hussey who lived on the New River in Onslow County ca. 1780. Edward and Simeon were brothers. Seeking information about the children and spouse(s). The known children of Simeon Hussey were: Edwards Edward(a second child named Edward?) Shields Betsy Peggy Charity The wife of Simeon was Ann (?). It is believed that Simeon was married to an Elizabeth Edwards prior to his marriage to Ann. It is believed that this Edwards Hussey received a land grant in SC in 1804 and moved to Colleton County, SC. This is partly based on the fact that he would later name his youngest son Shields Hussey after his brother in Onslow County. The children of Edward Hussey: Bryan John E. Margaret The wife of Edward was Mary (?) It is known that Bryan was raised by a James Edmondson of Onslow County. Bryan moved to Charleston after reaching the age of 21 and married Susannah Swain. Bryan Hussey died in Charleston in 1823. John E. Hussey served in the War of 1812 and the NC state Legislature in the early 1800's. John died in Duplin County in April of 1852. Margaret Hussey married David Kettleband of Charleston, SC and died near there in 1830. Looking for anyone who has information to share about these families of Onslow County, NC.

Have been searching a long time for ancestors of my Archibald Henderson and Jane Plemmons, both b. ca. 1787, probably NC. both d. after 1850 in Buncombe Co. Some say his father was a Hardy Henderson of Onslow Co. From some records I have seen, this Hardy was b. after Archibald and lived only a few months. Does anyone know anything that could help? Thanks--Bonnie
