I am seeking any information on the family name of CHRITMAS, the only information that I have is on a Bryant CHRISTMAS b.08 Aug 1909 d. 04 Oct 1992, he lived in Jacksonville and was at some time a policeman or something. His wife was Lillian Ann NEWNHAN (not sure about the spelling, she was from Carolina Beach somewhere close by. I also have a name of a Lillian Ann Elizabeth Christmas and a Lenoard Newnhan who came over from England. Since I live in Alaska, I don't have the slightest idea which counties to look for. I did try Onslow but didn't come up with anything. Thank You !!

I'm not sure if my ancestor was here very long, but I need to ask. His name is Asa SADBERRY, (aka SEDBURY, SADBURY, SUDBERRY) And is my ggggrandfather. I have three census and three land records with these various spellings. I've come to the conclusion that the man could neither read nor write, thus his name was left up to whomever took down the info. Now this Asa SADBERRY shows up in the 1800 Census for Onslow Co. as Asa Sedbury. I'm not positive if it is the same, but I would be surprised if it isn't. He married a Clarkey ________ sometime around 1800 and had at least one son in NC before moving to AL. If you can shed any light on him or the surname of Sadberry w/ variants, I would appreciate it.

a#BRINSONBRINSONm#WOODWOOD posted by Lee Laliberte on Sunday, August 10, 1997

I am interested in the parents of a Charity WOOD who married John BRINSON,Jr about January 1799 in Duplin Co.,NC. Both were born about 1780 according to the census of South Carolina of 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850. Information suggests that the father of Charity WOOD may be John, Peter, or Simon of the 1790 census of Duplin Co., NC. There is another possibility that Edward WOOD of the 1790 census of New Hanover may be also her father. This is possible since it is highly suspect that the John's Jr. and Sr. BRINSON's were of South Carolina in Horry Co. in the 1790 census and lived very near or at the state line. These individuals later were residents of Charleston Co., S.C. John, SR. is believed to be born about 1755-1760 and the son of a Mathew BRINSON of the 1790 census in Horry Co, SC and died in 1809 and left his will. Mathew BRINSON's parents alson unknown, but suspect he is the son of Adam BRINSON.

Her father was John T. KING from NC. She doesn't know much more. Could my John and Penelope KING possibly be related to your John and Penelope KING? Thank you for any thing you can tell me.
