The Tucker Littleton Notes
Volume 1 of an extensive collection to be published over the next
several years by the Coastal Genealogical Society.
At Tucker
Littleton's early death in 1983 he left 20 years of notes in the form of
alphabetized notes cards some 20,000 in number. His research covered
all aspects of the history of eastern North Carolina and should be an
invaluable source for serious researchers. Volume 1, which is 113 pages
in length, covers nearly 600 alphabetized entries from "Academies" to
the surname "Best". It is fully indexed with approximately 1000 index
entries on surnames, places, businesses, military, religion and court
records. Published in softcover, copies may be obtained for $20.00 from
the Coastal Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 1421, Swansboro, NC 28584.

MARKERS OF TIME - CEMETERIES OF ONSLOW COUNTY. Four volumes
are available in softcover for $24.00 per volume (includes
tax, postage and handling). These first four volumes list
graves located in the federal Cemetery at Montford Point,
Camp Lejeune and the one located on Highway 17 South near
Verona, NC. These cemeteries were established in 1941 when
the US Governemnt moved the graves from their original
location prior to building the Marine Corps Base. Full

This is an outstanding and informative history of Lt William
Barker Gushing and the USS Ellis. This softcover book, with
