Obituary of Timmie Andrew Raynor Jr ~ 2008

Retired Staff Sergeant Timmie Andrew Raynor, Jr., 64, of 326 Bogue Loop Rd., the Bogue 
Community, Newport, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Craven 
Regional Medical Center, New Bern.

Timmie retired from the United States Army after over 30 years of dedicated service & numerous 
commendations. He was also a Civil Service retiree from aboard Camp Lejeune where he was a 
Supervisor at the Naval Hospital. He was a member of God's City of Refuge Church where he was 
the Head Deacon of the Deacon Board, Vice-President of the church's Board of Directors and 
worked diligently in the Prison Ministry. 

He was preceded in death by: his PARENTS, Timmie Raynor, Sr. and Lovie Smith Raynor. 

Timmie will be forever cherished by: his WIFE of 41 years, Carol Young Raynor of the home; 4 SONS, 
Timmie Raynor III (Autumn) and Gabriel Raynor both of Newport, Antonio Raynor of Rocky Mount 
and Marcus Raynor (Andronica) of Swansboro; 4 GRANDCHILDREN, Kennard Battle, Temmie 
Raynor, Chynna Raynor and Andrianna Raynor; 1 GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER, Kenna Raynor; 
3 BROTHERS, Clifton Raynor (Cynthia) and Elvis Raynor (Vida) both of Newport and Reginald 
Raynor (Jennifer) of Beaufort; 2 SISTERS, Joyce Williams (Jobie) of Pollocskville and Janice 
Bradley (Billy) of Jacksonville; 2 GODSONS, Phillip Barfield of Wilmington and Doyan Pierce of 
Newport; 2 GODDAUGHTERS, Lillian Godette of Havelock and Chavonda Montford of Raleigh; 
and a host of NEPHEWS, NIECES, COUSINS, CO-WORKERS, CHURCH MEMBERS, 
NEIGHBORS, dear FRIENDS and FELLOW MILITARY. 

The family will receive friends at the residence. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 5-7 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 
150 Williamsburg Parkway, Jacksonville and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the 
service. 

Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the God's City 
of Refuge Church with the Rev. Willie W. Murray, Pastor, Officiating. Interment will immediately 
follow the service in the Church Cemetery.

His remains are resting peacefully in the care and comfort of: Morgan Funeral Home, Inc.,
