Obituary of Marvin L Arthur Sr ~ 2008

Marvin L. Arthur Sr., 86, of Jacksonville died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at 
Bridgestone Nursing Home. 

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. A 
memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Jones 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Shirley Rodgers officiating. 

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric J. Daniels. 

He is survived by his wife, Thelma G. Arthur; a son, M.L. Arthur; a daughter, 
Betty A. Pennock; stepsons, Tony Raynor and his wife, Sherry, Keith Raynor 
and his wife, Doloris and Kent Burna Raynor; stepdaughters, Rebecca Raynor 
and Nita Goldfarb and her husband, Marty. Also surviving are two sisters, 
Edna Rowe and Rachel Collins; grandchildren, Travis Arthur, Kyle Arthur, Amy 
Taylor, Beverly Lee, Kelly Raynor, Troy Raynor, Eva Raynor, Gina Raynor, 
Aaron Abeyta and Jennifer Bayens; and great-grandchildren, Steven Arthur, 
Derrick Arthur, Michael Bayens, Kira Lee, and Makila Taylor. 

The family will receive visitors after the service at their home, 806 Jim 
Blake Road in Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 
Onslow Home Health and Hospice, 2013 Lejeune Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28540 or 
to Community Home Care and Hospice in New Bern.
