Obituary of Lucille Smith Hartsfield ~ 1991

 
Lucille Smith Hartsfield, 69, of Hubert, NC, died Tuesday, February 19, 1991 
at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. 

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Queens Creek United Methodist Church
with the Revs. Robert Rudd and Sandy Bain presiding. 
Burial was at Kellum Family Cemetery in Hubert.

Lucille was the daughter of the late Cam and Jennie Kellum Smith of Hubert, 
and was a devoted wife for 50 years. 

She was a lifetime resident of Hubert and an active lifelong member of Queens 
Creek United Methodist Church. She loved her Lord and family more than 
anything and liked to work in her home and garden. Lucille shared her time at 
the Clock Shop next to her husband and son during the day.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Hartsfield of Hubert; three sons, Robert 
G. Hartsfield and Chester W. Hartsfield, both of Hubert and Tim C. Hartsfield 
of Charlotte; two daughters, Melanie H. Sheldon and Phyllis H. Gatlin, both 
of Hubert; two brothers, Julian R. Smith of Jacksonville and Gordon L. Smith 
Sr. of Mira Loma, Calif.; two sisters, Ethel S. Wells of Delco and Ruth S. 
Kelly of Whiteville; and 11 grandchildren.
