Obituary of Evelyn Rochelle Pratt ~ 2002

 
Mrs. Evelyn Rochelle Pratt, age 76, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on 
December 29, 2002, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Wilmington on March 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Lina 
Buck and Joseph Fennell Rochelle.

Mrs. Pratt was a member of the Stump Sound Primitive Baptist Church, Holly 
Ridge, NC. She was affiliated with New Hanover Regional Medical Center as a
nurse for thirteen years.

Surviving are a husband of fifty-eight years, Mr. Charles Frank Pratt Sr. of 
the home; her children, Charles Frank Pratt Jr. of Atlanta, GA, David Pratt 
of Cary, NC, Anna Prince of Fayetteville, NC, Lina Pratt of Chapel Hill, NC, 
and Kris Pratt of Wilmington, NC; two brothers, Norman Rochelle of Burgaw, 
NC, and Lee Rochelle of High Point, NC; eleven grandchildren; four step-
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2003, at Coble 
Ward-Smith Funeral Service, Oleander Chapel, by Reverend Gene Lupton. 
Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral 
home prior to the service and other times at their residence.

Physician’s Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
