Obituary of Eunice Marie Pierce Cameron ~ 2005





Eunice Marie Pierce Cameron, 64, became an angel on Oct. 12, 2005, at her 
home surrounded by her loving family. She courageously battled a lengthy 
illness of cancer.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at Jones 
Funeral Home chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Samuel W. Swinson 
officiating. 
Burial will follow at Pearce Pierce Gurganus Family Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde S. Pierce and Dessie L. 
Henderson; and two brothers, Sherman W. Pierce and Ralph M. Pierce.

She is survived by her dedicated husband of 35 years, Marion "Guy" Cameron; 
one sister, Mayo P. Watts; sister-in-law, Nellie Pierce and Myrna Jean Lewis; 
special friend, Harry Imhof; four devoted children and their families: two 
sons, Danny Henderson and wife, Bonnie, of Richlands, Pete Henderson and wife,
Jennifer of Dallas, Texas; and two daughters, Teresa Grab of Richlands and 
Kim Scott of Raleigh.

She has eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Grandsons, Damien 
Henderson, Chris Morton, Joe Hart Scott III, Raymond Grab and Alex Campbell. 
Granddaughters, Dana Henderson, Mary Landin Scott and Britton Campbell and 
great-granddaughter, Paige Henderson.

Eunice was loved by many and touched the hearts of her family and friends. 
She loved life and brought happiness to everyone she met. She was a loving 
mother, wife and best friend.

She enjoyed her times at bingo when she was among her friends. Even throughout
her illness she kept her great sense of humor. She will be missed by her 
lifelong neighbors and friends. Her spirit left a lasting impression on us 
all and she will always be with us. "We love you Maw Maw."

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Jones Funeral Home in 
Jacksonville.
