Staff Sgt. Christopher Michael Roulund, 27, proud U.S. Army Ranger, assigned
to the 75th Ranger Regiment, died on Aug. 13, 2008, while training to protect his
country he loved so well. He leaves behind his loving and proud parents retired
CWO4 Art and Lynn Roulund, his loving siblings, Richard, Jennifer and Andrew;
paternal grandparents, Victor and Louise Roulund and maternal grandparents,
Ted and Barbara Rivers; aunts and uncles Karen and Bill Hancsak, Amy and
Tom Banzhaf, retired Master Gunnery Sgt. Tom and Darlene Roulund; uncles,
Ted Rivers and Michael Roulund; aunts, Karen Rivers and Wilma Sywanyk. He
was preceded in death by Victor Roulund Jr. He also had many cousins, friends
and fellow Rangers that he held close to his heart.

Christopher was a 1999 graduate of Dixon High School and entered the Army in
August 1999. He loved his country very much and was proud to be an American.
He saw his role as Training NCO as his most important contribution: to train his
fellow Rangers to the very best of his ability so he could bring them all home safely.
Chris successfully served three combat tours in Afghanistan and three combat
tours in Iraq. He is now in the company of his fallen comrades in arms, overlooking
those same men he loved so well.
