with the Rev. Wesley Houston officiating. Visitation will immediately follow

Bonnie loved her family, her church family, and her friends and neighbors.
She painted many beautiful paintings of farm scenes of bygone years. She
invented bean shellers and helped many neighbors for years while still
helping on the farm and raising her family. She was always a happy person as
evidenced by her constant whistling and never having an unkind word to anyone.
Bonnie and Garner loved their grandchildren, Krista H. Joyner and her husband
Chris of Greenville, Melissa Horne of Raleigh, Greg Horne of Wilmington,
Briana Horne of Apex, Adam Horne of Wilmington, Jessica Chapman of Boone and
Billy Chapman of Wilmington. Bonnie and Garner, who preceded her in death,
were partners in their farm work as well as their marriage. They were blessed
with three children, Thomas G. Horne and his wife, Judi P. of New Bern, John
L. Horne and his wife, Gail H. of Wilmington, and Mary Ann H. Chapman and her
husband, Bill of Wilmington.

Mrs. Horne was married to her husband for 55 years. Born on Dec. 7, 1924, she
was the daughter of the late P.T. and Lola Fountain of Fountaintown. Also
preceding her in death were her seven brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank Season's Cove Assisted Living Center of
Richlands for their love and care. Thanks as well to Hospice Nursing Care
over the last several months.

Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home in Richlands.
