Obituary of Anthony Miranda Ellis ~ 2011
Anthony Miranda Ellis, 41, of the Belgrade Community, Maysville, entered
into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 13, 2011.
He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Belgrade where he was
previously a member of the Junior Choir. He was a 1988 graduate of White Oak
High School in Jacksonville and a Veteran of the United States Navy. As a
seaman, Anthony received the Southwest Asia Service Medal with a Bronze Star,
a Navy "E" ribbon, 2 Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, a National Defense
Service Medal and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.
Anthony will be forever cherished by: his FATHER, Ruben Ellis of the home; 2
SONS, Anthony Ellis, Jr. of Jacksonville and Anthony Ellis, Jr. of Trenton;
2 DAUGHTERS, Margaret Dorsey and Jasmine Ellis both of Trenton; 4 BROTHERS,
Rev. Donald Ellis (Kim) of New Bern, Roger Ellis (Adora) of Alexandria,
Virginia, Bruce Ellis of South Orange, New Jersey and Herbert Ellis (Deborah)
of Woodbridge, Virginia; 5 SISTERS, Gwendolyn Middleton (James) and Trinette
Brown both of of Jacksonville, Annie Jones (Reginald) of Winston-Salem,
Vanessa Ellis of the home, and Norma Rae Smith of Germantown, Maryland; and
a host of UNCLES, AUNTS, NEPHEWS, NIECES, COUSINS, other relatives and dear
friends.
The family will be receiving their friends and guest at 554 Springhill Road,
the Belgrade Community, Maysville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 6-7PM at Morgan
Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Williamsburg Parkway, Jacksonville.
Homegoing Service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the
First Missionary Baptist Church with the Elder Kevin McCants, Pastor,
Officiating.
Interment with military honors will immediately follow the service in the
Ellis Family Cemetery.
Anthony's earthly remains are resting peacefully in the care, comfort and
